I’m a designer and maker of precious jewellery, based at Ashley Bank House in Langholm, Dumfries and Galloway. Approximately 50% of my work is to commission, often for unique wedding and engagement rings or special gifts. I also do a lot of remodelling of jewellery, melting your old, unworn but sentimental pieces down and creating something new. I work in silver, gold, palladium and platinum and my distinctive pieces often feature texture, etching and gemstones. My work is sold via galleries and exhibitions throughout the UK and is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office. You can also purchase my jewellery online at www.lisarothwell-young.co.uk
My jewellery is manufactured by hand using traditional tools, techniques and small batch production.
If you’d like to learn how to make jewellery, you can book one to one tuition with me. See my website www.lisarothwell-young for further information.
Brides and Grooms can spend a day with me, making their own wedding rings – a fun and memorable thing to do. Your rings can be engraved with words, dates, even fingerprints.
I’m a member of Spring Fling, a recipient of three Craft Maker Awards and a Regional Arts Fund Award. I’m also a member of the NAJ (National Association of Jewellers). I have acted as a mentor for Spring Fling and offer mentoring for artists and makers of any discipline.
